Pace Academy in action

This afternoon we were very fortunate to be able to visit the MRF pace academy to see the up and coming fast bowlers in India going through their paces. We looked on as Dennis Lillee gave these young tear-aways advice and feedback on their technique. Some of these guys were quick! I was cheeky enough to ask for a bat and was very grateful to be given the opportunity to face up. Haven't worn a helmet for over 20 years! Managed to hold my own until the very last ball which exploded off pitch and nearly took my head off. A very memorable afternoon.

This evening we enjoyed our first real taste of Indian food at a nearby restaurant. We are now all set for our first game tomorrow. Early start to try and beat the heat and we have shortened the game to 30 overs each but it will still be very tough I suspect.
